Hi. Sooooo.....it's been over a week since I posted. Part of it is because I've been busy. The other part is because the weather has been gray and cloudy and VERY snowy and hard to film videos.
Also, there will be some slight changes to this blog.
No, I haven't lost interest in dolls, no I don't plan to stop blogging.
There's just going to be an addition to this blog.......

My Thoughts on Joss Kendrick, GOTY 2020

Happy New Year, doll lovers.  Hope ou have a great 2020. 

Sooooo, as we all know AG has released a new GOTY. As many other bloggers do I will be sharing my thoughts on the 2020 Girl of the Year Joss Kendrick. She’s a surfer and cheerleader who’s deaf in her left ear and can hear partially from her right ear, with the help of a hearing aid.

Before we get into this post I will state that I’m not a big fan of her name. Joss? Seriously? Is AG trying to be edgy or something?

GOTY 2020 Joss Kendrick

Price: $98

Ooh, she’s super pretty! I love the brown hair/brown eye combo [this is something I love on people in real life, too. Those who say it’s ‘’plain’’ have clearly never seen Troian Bellisario].

Again, I ADORE her hair/eye combo. Also, her hairstyle is super cute! I think her outfit is really cool, too. It looks like something a girl in this time would wear [since most girls I know would rather wear pants instead of a dress]. AND THE SHOES. Though I don’t get why she’s wearing a jacket with shorts and flip-flops.

Joss’s Accessories

Price: $30.00

So this set comes with a bag, a phone, cash, sunglasses, bracelets, an ID card, and a car key [what the heck? She’s way too young to be driving!].

Soooo, not a huge fan of this set. I think it’s super cute and all, I just don’t think I would use it all that much. The colors are cool, though. I like the bracelets.

Joss’s Nfinity Cheer Backpack Set

THAT’S NOT HOW YOU SPELL INFINITY!!!!

*clears throat* Anyway, this set comes with a sparkly backpack, a makeup kit, a big, sparkly bow, ankle socks, a teasing comb and hair-styling tool that switches between curling iron and straightner, a set of hairbands and bobby pins.

Um, I guess it’s a cute set. A bit too glittery for my taste but it’s cute. I feel like cheerleading is kinda like competitive dancing in that there’s a lot of glitz and glam for the performance. Anyway, I guess it’s cool. WAY overpriced, though.

Joss’s Swim and Surf Set

Price: $28.00

Cute, but it looks a lot like Kailey’s outfit. I like the colors and sandals. I guess it’s cool but not all that original.

Joss’s Cheer Practice Equipment

Price: $60.00

It comes with a mat, a wedge mat, a stunt stand, a water bottle, an ice pack and wrap bandage.
Sooooo, overpriced but kinda cool. It just looks so much like the gymnastics set they have….

Cute, but very, very overpriced.

Aww, it’s really cute, but again overpriced and not unique. 

Joss’s Cheer Practice Outfit

It looks like a real practice outfit, nice. A little plain but cute. WAY overpriced, though. And I love the blue and black combo. So soothing and cool.

Joss’s Cheer Competition Outfit

Price: $36.00

So…..overpriced and too much glitter. I think this outfit is my least favorite in the collection. I’m just not a big fan of pink glitter. I can see why some people might like these, though.

Joss’s Surfboard Set

Price: $50.00

Overpriced but this is really cool. I like the colors. My only complaint is that it’s a lot like Kailey’s surfboard.

Joss’s Beach Vibes Outfit

I’m not a fan of this at all. I just think the colors are kind of bleh for whatever reason.

Joss’s Shine Bright PJs

Price: $24.00

Okay, I really like these! The slippers are cute and fluffy [but again with the hot pink?]

It’s cute and modern-looking.

Joss’s Cheer Team Jacket

Price: $15.00

It’s cute. It looks like something a dentist would wear, though….

So, I think Joss is one of the most beautiful GOTYs ever, I love that she has a disability but she seems a little stereotypical.

There’s so many more things they could do. A writer, actor, stage crew member, film producer, skater, skateboarder, martial artist, volleyball/softball/basketball/soccer player, gamer, fangirl etc. etc. I mean, not all girls are into dance and cheerleading and sparkly hair ribbons. 

So, in conclusion, Joss is not my least favorite or favorite GOTY. I’d rate her doll an eight, and her collection a six.
